My Journey

As a child, I was captivated by Narnia—a world where wonder, magic, and profound meaning reigned supreme. I believed that if I looked hard enough, I could find a doorway to such hidden realms just down the hall.

But as I grew older, I became disenchanted. The constant push for material success, status, and rational thinking started to overshadow the deep significance I once found in the world. I came to believe that the qualities embodied in stories like Narnia—intuition, harmony, and wisdom—didn't belong in the "real world."

Instead of a hero's journey, society served me a fool's errand: complete "the checklist." Get good grades, go to a prestigious college, land a high-paying job, make millions, find the perfect partner, buy a dream home, stay fit, travel the world—these were the items I was led to believe would bring happiness and fulfillment. This checklist became the script for my life. And I followed it masterfullymanagement consulting in New York, investment banking in Silicon Valley, and founding a series of consumer internet startups. I raised millions in venture capital, helped pioneer the Stories format, hit number one in the App Store, and sold two companies. By all accounts, I was living the dream.

But as I ticked off these achievements, a strange thing happened. With each accomplishment, I felt less fulfilled, and yet my drive to achieve only intensified—trapped by the addiction to 'more' pushed by the broader culture.

Eventually, I confronted a difficult truth: external validation and measurable success weren’t leading to the fulfillment I’d been promised. Instead, I turned inward—immersing myself in Eastern, Western, and indigenous wisdom traditions, including initiation into a Shipibo family lineage in the Peruvian Amazon—in a transformative process of questioning, unlearning, and reenchantment.

Through this journey, I rediscovered the wonder, magic, and profound meaning I had sought since childhood, realizing that these qualities had never truly disappeared. I learned that our inner world is a microcosm of the larger cosmos and that by transforming ourselves, we can positively impact the world around us. In rediscovering these qualities, I realized that the doorway I had searched for as a child was never out of reach—it was always within me, waiting to be opened.

Today, I draw on my extensive experience with entrepreneurship and inner transformation to help individuals, founders, and organizations flourish. If you feel called to reconnect with the parts of life that may have been lost along the way, or if you're seeking to step through the doorway to new realms of potential—whether personally or within your organization—I invite you to reach out.
